"Worlds Between" conveys the interconnectedness of separate worlds. Despite the differences within the paths that are taken, the possibility of commonality to relate is within one's cognition.

Illustration and comic artist Esther Pearl Watson’s raw, naive illustrations has developed a big following. Kristy first learned about Esther’s work from her fans and discovered that famed artists such as Matt Groening, Creator of the Simpsons, and American photographer Cindy Sherman are amongst her collectors. Kristy later realizes Esther is not only an artist but a provocateur who has a unique upbringing in Texas. Her father’s obsession in building flying saucers in the front-yard causes wide concerns for her neighbors, forcing Esther’s family to move around often. The poignant yet unsettling childhood did not negatively impact her life, yet the memories serves as a major inspiration in crafting her dream. When Esther moves to Los Angeles, she embarks on a journey to challenge the long-held prejudice of traditional rules set in the comic industry. This is when Kristy wants to share Esther’s story with everyone out there, who seeks to develop a creative voice of their own.
